Squishmallow Hunting

My daughter is a shopaholic....she has a real problem. In addition to just loving to shop she also MUST have the latest trends. Doesn't matter if it's clothes, tech, toys.....if it's cool and being talked about on TikTok or YouTube then she MUST have it. On Saturday she started telling me how she needs chores to do so she can earn money to buy a Squishmallow. I ask her what it is and she tells me it is the hottest toy right now and they are selling out everywhere. You can buy them on eBay and Amazon for jacked up prices or you can be lucky enough to find one in stores. So we agree for her to do some chores on Sunday. I tell her we are not paying jacked up prices but if we find one in the store then I'll front her the money. We start our hunt. We go to 1-Target, 3-CVS's and a Walgreens with them all sold out. She would be so sad to go up and see the empty shelf with the tag. She was hardest hit when she saw the empty shelf for the Squid one (WTF????) guess that is her "dream Squishmallow". We hit one more Walgreen as we make our way home and again the shelf is empty. We look around and tucked behind a bunch of lame Valentine's stuffed animal we find a Squishmallow Llama. The joy on the daughter face was another level. When we brought it up to the register the lady was blown away and wanted to know where we found that. She said people had been calling all weekend and she told them they were sold out. We paid our $7.50 and were on our way! Looks like it was Lovelyn's luck day. Hopefully we will now have a bit of time before the next "must have" item...........
