My little family has an annual tradition that we have been doing since 2014. It started on the one year anniversary of my mother-in-law's passing and we've done it each year since. My mother-in-law's name was Rose and she loved roses. You could put money on the fact that anytime you went to visit you would find a bouquet of roses in a vase somewhere in the house. Another thing she loved was the ocean. So every year on the anniversary of her passing the family goes down to the ocean near our house, we each throw a rose into the ocean, we tell stories to our daughter about the Grandma she barely got to know and then we go out to dinner and have a stiff drink!!!!
