When my daughter was younger it was one of my favorite things for me to watch her decorate her scooter and then follow her and her friends as the scooted along in the Bird Rock 4th of July parade. This year was the first year in a decade that I haven't gone to the parade. My daughter was out of town with friends and my husband wasn't feeling it so I thought it would be strange for me to go down and just walk around by myself. I love this picture from 2014......
