These pictures are from when I was in the hospital when I was 16 years old after having emergency surgery. I had a vein erupt in my back just from a malformation. Nothing happened to cause it and before the surgery I was told I would never walk again. After the surgery I was able to move a toe and slowly but surely I regained feeling in my body from the waist down.
The first picture is I think 2 or 3 days after the surgery when I was still in ICU. The guys in the picture are two friends who showed up. I still couldn't really walk or sit up by that point but I had feeling in my legs.
The 2nd picture is the article that was written about me and how it is a miracle that I can walk. The doctor with me in the picture is Dr. Epstein who saved my legs.
