Yearbook Reveals Local School's Language Teachers' 'Insensitive' Photos

Yearbooks that were given out to seniors at San Pasqual High School in Escondido are causing massive controversy. Some students and parents were outraged when they saw World Language Department faculty wearing ponchos, sombreros and fake mustaches in their yearbook photos. The teachers' names featured the titles Senor and Senora and employee Millie Laurs was pictured wearing a black beret and black sunglasses and was addressed Madame.

A statement released by the Escondido Union High School District said the photos were taken in the beginning of the year for use as teacher ID photos.
