Diamonds Scatter On Infield at Mets-Braves Game

The term "Baseball Diamond" took on a whole new meaning when the extremely expensive diamond necklace of Mets' Yoenis Cespedes broke while he slid into second base when the team was playing the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday.

Apparently, you could see the stones glistening from the stands. Yoenis got angry and threw the rest necklace on the field when it happened - it was actually his teammates and the umpire who picked up the stones for him.  The was definitely some digging into the dirt to find the lost gems and players were even finding lost stones later in the inning.  Cespedes did a final sweep of the area before leaving the stadium that night.
