Gal Gadot Shows Support For Boy Who Chose Wonder Woman Backpack, Crown

One Florida mother was a little apprehensive about buying her son a Wonder Woman backpack for fear he might get bullied for his choice.  And then, Gal Gadot heard about it...

Katie Alicea took to millennial mom blog "Romper" to express her concern for her son's choice in backpack for school even though she told him he could have any backpack that he wanted.

During a recent shopping trip, Alicea told her son 5-year-old son Isaac that he could pick out any backpack that he wanted.  The boy picked the Wonder Woman design because he loved the fact that it came along with the character's iconic crown.

"I’ll be honest, my first response to him was, 'Are you sure?' Without skipping a beat, he replied, 'Yes, I looked at all of them and I love superheroes the MOST and this Wonder Woman backpack is my favorite!'" Alicea wrote. "I asked if he was sure, not because the backpack bothered me, but because I imagined Isaac being made fun of at a new school when he has been so desperate to make new friends."

She continued her post with, "The truth is, if I start to worry about what the world thinks, Isaac will start to worry too and I don’t want that. Isaac is a world-changer and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the coolest kid I know."

Gal Gadot found the article and tweeted out a response on Tuesday morning supporting the boys choice:

"Just read this article about breaking gender stereotypes by Katie Alicea. Such an important topic and something I believe in so strongly. I hope Isaac wore the crown and his WW backpack proudly to school. #WonderBoy."
